Formula Used

Ratio = Triglycerides ÷ HDL Cholesterol

When values are entered in mg/dL, the ratio is calculated directly using the formula above.

When values are entered in mmol/L, they are first converted to mg/dL using accepted medical conversion factors:

  • Triglycerides: mmol/L × 88.57 = mg/dL
  • HDL Cholesterol: mmol/L × 38.67 = mg/dL
