Formula Used
This calculator uses the standard MET (Metabolic Equivalent of Task) formula from exercise physiology:
MET Definition — One MET equals the energy cost of sitting at rest, approximately 1 kcal/kg/hour. A 4 MET activity burns four times the resting energy rate.
